Ajax fans set for Leyton Orient trip after Chelsea Champions League away ban
Countless Ajax fans are set to attend Leyton Orients Leasing.com Trophy game against Brighton U21s, Afterwards UEFA Prohibited them from going to the Champions League fixture against Chelsea in Stamford Bridge.
Over 2,000 Ajax supporters are thinking about going to the Brisbane Road, house of Sky Bet League Two side Orient, encouraged by the National League last year.
UEFA banned Ajax fans against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge after crowd trouble in their fixture at Valencia on November 5.
The ban comes after having a sentence imposed after Ajaxs Champions League game against Benfica season.
Additional information has been requested by ajax from UEFA and possess the right to lodge an appeal although a lot of the fans are left in limbo with already booked flights and accommodation.
One Ajax fan took to Twitter, writing:Dear @leytonorientfc, are you really willing to sponsor 2,000 Ajax fans?
We are systematically and unlawfully screwed by @UEFA and @metpoliceuk. A lot of us will journey and booked transport and hotels. You may risk memories and a great feeling . Kind regards.
Leyton Orient stated in a club statement:Were Conscious of the attention from AFC Ajax fans in attending the Leasing.com match against Brighton and Hove Albion U21s on November 5 in the Breyer Group Stadium.
Well be entering in communication with AFC Ajax in how to alleviate this.
