CS:GO pros preview ECS Season 8 Finals
Its almost the end of the next exciting year for Counter Strike and here is everything you can count on 8 Finals — previewed from the gamers.
The Berlin Major runner ups will be carrying on one of North America Evil Geniuses, to kickstart the group stages at the ECS S8 Finals.
Have had their ups and downs this year and after failing to show up at current events, TarikTarik Celik admits the absence of consistency has been a problem for his side.
He explained:Weve been really inconsistent, doing nicely in 1 event and then bombing out at the next. It is unacceptable that and because we want to uphold ourselves to a standard.
Even going to this event its a fairly important one to us. The past couple have been tough so were hoping we can turn things around. Its just a matter of developing a consistent system inside the team which is something were working on.
His coach, ChetImAPet Singh extends to details as to why theyve looked sloppy lately tournaments but nevertheless they have a reasonable chance against AVANGAR.
He told Sky Sports:We have not had opportunities to exercise as much because everyones programs have been very busy. We are trying to practice as far as we can so we can be as prepared as we keep our spirit high and could be.
We havent jumped into the new area so were not really certain how we will perform. Were not as prepared as we must be although Clearly well have an opportunity to prior to the match against AVANGAR.
I would say AVANGAR are a fairly good group, when we played them in the Important they were really on point. They take a good deal of risks and gambles but as long as we appear it should be a fairly reasonable match for people.
AVANGAR have seen vast improvements and also their Rifler Alexeyqikert Golubev feels optimistic about.
He said:In general, this season has been pretty great for all of us. We added our roster and SANJI and AdreN and I liked playing them having them. So that I think it was a great year we made it to the closing you understand. I have really enjoyed this season but its still important to show up at ECS, it is not done yet.
Arguably one of the most exciting matches of the afternoon belongs into Team Liquid v Ninjas in Pyjamas. The two sides met at Copenhagen and to the surprise of many, NiP arrived on top, something Simontwist Eliasson considers can be duplicated at ECS.
He said:Of course I think well have the ability to beat them after Copenhagen. No, we are not scared of these. We have been putting a few powerful performances out and I think we have what is necessary to win the entire tournament. Im confident since weve been really well.
However, Liquids JakeStewie2k Yip thinks theyre still among those favorites that are strong, not just in the whole tournament but for their opening game against NiP.
He explained:I would say that were among the favorites going into this tournament with no cocky or something like this. I think also the only other group thats looking very great is Astralis and also we are on top. Our confidence is high today, there are a good deal of teams we actually want to play such as MiBR, EG and especially Astralis – we would love to meet them in the final.
The CS:GO staff of time, Astralis, will also be competing from the hopes of winning still another event in the ECS S8 finals.
However, they were not able to make it straight back in ECS London in Spring to which their coach Dannyzonic Sorensen admits was because of a lack of prep.
He told Sky Sports:Its been a good year for us obviously through the Spring wed little downfall. It was significant for me after we won the major we took it somewhat slow since I could see that some of the players got exhausted although it wasnt intended.
As an example, it is all about winning the most prestigious tournaments so that it was all about preparing for Berlin. Unfortunately ECS London dropped to a time where we didnt put as much work into boot camping and our preparation as we can have. It turned out to be a tough time for us although it was poor timing, we enter every tournament acquire and to try it.
From an objectives point of view, I feel like we are better suited to this tournament. We have more energy after the summer which was really great. But this will be a tough tournament with some challenging opponents were only preparing for our match against Sharks.
As it came against Sharks into their match, despite being the favourites, Astralis leader Lukasgla1ve Rossander reckons it wont be an easy effort.
He explained:Im not too certain if its going to be simple, should you look in Sharks, theyve been winning against teams like Team Liquid. So I think its definitely likely to be a match that is pretty exciting, Im not sure because of all the changes – its likely to be good to play against them. Last time we lost from Furia and this time we are going to be taking on a second Brazilian group so hopefully we just take some sort of revenge I guess.
Last but not least facet MIBR is going to have the task of trying to shoot down Fnatic and after their performance at the Asia Championship, MIBR have a fantastic prospect of providing them a run for their money.
Much like Astralis, MIBR fought at Epitacio although ECS LondonTACO de Melo insists that theyre a brand new team.
He explained:We had a very different line up at ECS London compared to the one we have today so we are not really considering the last ECS. Weve got different chemistries now with all the roster so were really confident at the work weve been putting in in the previous week so Id say were coming in fresh for the championship.
MIBR have produced a few roster changes including the accession of VitokNgV- Giusepe who believes his side have what it takes to conquer Fnatic.
He said:We are pretty confident to move up from Fnatic. Yes, they are the favourite but were really ready for them. They can have the odds in their favour but its all about the best team winning from the server over the day so we are ready for them.
